Hi, I'm Barry Michaels.
I started this group five years ago, just two weeks after moving to Delray Beach. I wanted a way for single people 60 and over in Delray, Boca and Boynton to meet new friends, have good conversation and enjoy a nice meal out, without any pressure.
With more than 100 restaurants within ten miles of Delray, there's always somewhere new to try. I hope to see you at the table soon.
A little about me
I'm a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) with a Master of Public Administration (MPA), and I've spent more than 50 years in business, across healthcare, aviation, publishing and real estate. I'm also the author of The Natural Therapies Handbook series.
Today my main project is Tachyra Diagnostics, a company I founded to help doctors make safer decisions for their patients. Tachyra is an AI-powered tool that checks a patient's medications and symptoms and flags possible problems, such as harmful drug combinations, duplicate prescriptions, doses that need adjusting, and medicines that are risky for older adults. It's getting ready for its first pilot with physicians.
